JULIA S HARRINGTON

Julia earned her B.F.A. from The University of Georgia and has built a career as a professional graphic designer and art director, overseeing both local and international creative teams. Her work combines strong visual storytelling with strategic communications, helping organizations strengthen their presence and connect with the communities they serve.

For five years, Julia worked closely with the coastal Georgia nonprofit Sanctuary on the Sapelo (SOS), where she played a key role in supporting its growth and impact. Her contributions included logo design and branding, production of promotional and educational materials, website development and maintenance, and management of marketing campaigns. Beyond design, Julia assisted with grant writing, fundraising event planning, and community outreach efforts across the region. Her work with SOS also extended into hands-on involvement—supporting the clinic with treatments, transporting wildlife, and collaborating with schools, local governments, and state agencies to advance conservation and education programs.

After taking a break from the professional field —while still freelancing for longtime clients and friends—Julia is excited to reenter the visual communications field. She is beginning a program in social media marketing to expand her skills and further support mission-driven organizations.

Julia has called New Mexico home for the past 14 years. She enjoys spending time on her river property in Abiquiú with her dog, Mojo, and is looking forward to getting back into fly-fishing. A fan of classic trucks, she has owned a vintage Scout and a cherry-red 1969 Ford, and is on the lookout for her next old favorite. Animals remain one of her greatest passions, inspiring both her work and her daily life.
